Major freakout today.
The footprint of the house is on the lot now and I think they built the stem wall (??).
WHY IS IT SO SMALL?
Can we really fit into this house?? Did we make a huge mistake by making it smaller and smaller? The plans look normal. The square footage seems normal.

More progress @ Mar Azul this week. Looks like the survey guys were out again, the lot is graded and marked. Not sure what the right words are for it, but it sure looks like the little flags, wood and string are all showing the footprint of the house.
And of course much more fun to visit the lot now because the girls can see we are really working on a house ? and they can play in the dirt.
Well the time lapse camera idea went bust. Maybe we can figure out it, but for now its a no go. Without asking a neighbor to fasten it to their house (and then me going by monthly to download the pix), there’s just not a great place to put the camera.
UUGH. Total. Heartbreaker.
Oh happy day. They are clearing out the lot and WOAH is there a bunch of junk in there and it is looking like a little mountain of dirt. Can’t wait to see it fully cleaned up + leveled out.
This crazy piece of land seems so much larger that we expected now that all the trees + weeds + junk are knocked down too.
